Terms of Service
Welcome to vrc.dj and vrc.to (the "Platform"). By accessing or using our services, creating an account, or authenticating via Discord, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").
These Terms apply to all users worldwide, including artists, community owners, and visitors. The Platform is operated from Germany, and these Terms are governed by German and European Union law regardless of where you access the service from. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Platform.

1. Description of Service
vrc.dj and vrc.to are sister domains running on a single codebase. vrc.dj hosts artist profiles, vrc.to hosts community profiles. Together they provide link-in-bio profiles, liveset archiving, booking functionality, and community discovery tools, primarily aimed at the global VRChat DJ, music, and clubbing ecosystem. Logging in on one domain logs you in on the other.
2. Age Requirement
You must be at least 16 years old to use this Platform. By registering an account or participating in our ecosystem, you warrant that you meet this age requirement. This threshold reflects the GDPR minimum age for digital consent in our jurisdiction (Germany) and applies to all users globally, regardless of any lower local age of consent.
3. Account and Discord Sync
- Account Creation: Our Platform uses Discord OAuth2 for account creation and login. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Discord account.
- Linked Identity: The Platform is paired with an official Discord Server. When you are a member of that server, our bot will automatically grant and revoke Discord roles based on your status on the Platform (for example, an "Artist" role if you own an artist page, a "Community Leader" role if you own a community page, or delegate roles where applicable). Membership in the Discord Server is checked periodically.
- Cross-Domain Moderation: Violations of these Terms on either side (Platform or Discord Server) may result in moderation actions on the other, including role removal, page restrictions, or full account suspension.
- Data Accuracy: You must not impersonate others. Accounts impersonating other artists, labels, or established communities will be suspended and the associated URLs revoked.
4. User-Generated Content and Ownership
You may upload or link content such as avatars, background images, links, biographies, and embedded streams from supported third-party platforms (including but not limited to YouTube, SoundCloud, Mixcloud, HearThis.at, Mixfall, and others).
- Ownership: You retain all intellectual property rights to content you upload. By providing content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, reproduce, cache, and adapt that content strictly for the operation of the Platform.
- Prohibited Content: You may not upload or link to content that:
- is illegal under German, EU, or your local law,
- is defamatory, highly explicit, NSFL, or promotes violence or hate speech,
- infringes copyrights, intellectual property, or trademarks of others,
- contains malicious code, malware, or aims to phish or scam other users.
- Takedown Right: We reserve the right to remove or restrict any content or profile page at our sole discretion, in particular if it violates these Terms or our community standards.
5. Community Guidelines
To maintain a safe and welcoming ecosystem, all users must adhere to the following:
1. Be Respectful: Harassment, toxicity, hate speech, bullying, or targeted discrimination of any kind toward other artists, communities, or users is strictly prohibited.
2. No Spam or Self-Promotion Abuse: Do not use the Platform to mass-promote irrelevant content. Only link sets or submit tags that genuinely relate to the corresponding artist or community.
3. Appropriate Tagging and Submissions: Misusing the tag taxonomy, intentionally defacing gradient data, or submitting irrelevant embeds to an artist's page is considered vandalism.
6. Reporting and Moderation
The Platform provides a reporting function that allows users to flag content, profiles, or behavior that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines.
- Good Faith: Reports must be submitted in good faith. Submitting knowingly false, retaliatory, or harassing reports is itself a violation of these Terms and may result in restrictions on your account.
- Rate Limits: To prevent abuse, the reporting function is rate-limited per user account and per network. Excessive reporting may temporarily block your ability to submit new reports.
- No Guarantee of Action: Submitting a report does not guarantee a specific outcome. Our moderation team reviews reports at its discretion and may take any action it deems appropriate, including dismissing the report.
- Reporter Anonymity: Reports are grouped into moderation cases. The identity of the reporter is not disclosed to the subject of the report.
- Quarantine: Content found to violate the rules may be quarantined (hidden from public view) before final deletion, allowing for review and potential restoration if appealed.
7. Bookings and Interactions
The Platform provides a feature to send Booking Requests directly to artists, including an optional private Discord chat channel that may be created for accepted bookings. After a booking is accepted, declined, or closed, chat transcripts may be retained server-side for moderation purposes (see our Privacy Policy).
- Fair Use: The booking tool may only be used for legitimate event inquiries. Spamming, harassing, or sending inappropriate messages via the booking feature is strictly prohibited.
- No Liability: The Platform acts only as a communication facilitator. We are not responsible for the fulfillment, agreement, or any disputes arising from bookings made through vrc.dj.
8. Service Availability and Limitation of Liability
- "As Is" Basis: The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation.
- Changes to Service: We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without prior notice.
- Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by applicable German and EU law, the operators of vrc.dj and vrc.to shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the Platform or loss of data.
9. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy matters to us. We process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / DSGVO). Because the Platform is operated from the EU, GDPR-level protections apply to all users globally. See our Privacy Policy for details on collection, processing, and retention.
10. API and Third-Party Access
The Platform exposes public API endpoints (including, for example, the /.well-known/atproto-did endpoint used to publish Bluesky handles). These endpoints are provided without availability or stability guarantees. Bot and tool developers are responsible for respectful use and observing reasonable rate limits.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Where you are a consumer resident in another jurisdiction, this choice of law does not deprive you of any mandatory protections under your local law. The place of jurisdiction for any disputes, to the extent legally permissible, is the operator's place of business.
12. Revisions to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be announced on the Platform or via our official Discord. Continued use of the Platform after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
