It features heavy, distorted 808s, fast-paced drums, and bright, glitchy, video game-like synths. Often considered a rap-focused, "rage" subgenre, it gained traction through distorted melodic loops and rapid-fire flows, heavily influenced by artists like Playboi Carti and Lil Uzi Vert.
